Michael Woods

Michael Woods of New Milford, 69, passed away on December 25, 2021. Mike was born in Teaneck on July 9, 1952. He grew up in Bergenfield and spent his adult years in New Milford with his wife and two children.

Mike worked for Verizon for 40 years while being a proud member of IBEW Local 827. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and Giants, enjoyed gardening, spending time with his two grandkids, and serving as an elder at South Church in Bergenfield. He was instrumental in founding a cancer support group at the church, and was passionate about helping those who had received a diagnosis.

He is survived by his wife Susan, son Ryan, daughter Lauren and her husband Joseph Wild, grandchildren Christopher and Evan, brother Thomas and sister Linda Puser, and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A funeral service will be held at South Church in Bergenfield at 11am on Thursday, December 30th. Masks and distancing are required.
