Norma C. Tackel

Norma Tackel (nee Cary) 97, of Bergenfield, was reunited with her husband Murry and son Allan, in the early hours of Thursday, January 30, 2025. Born December 19, 1927 to Rosetta and Henry, Norma was a 1946 graduate of Union Hill High School. A gifted songbird, she was known to take the stage in her early 20s, a talent which she would share with her family for many years to come.

A dedicated worker, Norma held several jobs over the years, none of which brought her as much joy as her time at Morgan Stanley. Never one to be idle, she tried retirement not once, but twice, both times returning to Morgan Stanley before finally settling into a well-earned life of rest and relaxation.

Norma is survived by her children Mark, Lesley (David), and Susan; grandchildren Melissa, Megan, Christopher, Matthew, Ian, Leann, Keith, Kristyn, Kelly, and Rob. She was also blessed to welcome many great- and great-great grandchildren into the family during her lifetime.

Viewing will take place Monday February 3rd from 3-8 pm at Riewerts Memorial Funeral Home, 187 S. Washington Ave. Bergenfield, NJ. All are invited to gather for a prayer service Tuesday February 4th at 10 am at Riewerts Memorial Home, followed by internment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
