Patrick A. Murphy

Patrick A. Murphy of Cresskill formerly of Bergenfield passed away on August 6, 2018. Born in County Clare Ireland. Loving husband of Margaret Murphy(nee Burke). Beloved father of Maureen Zoch and her husband Peter, Anne Marie Rutkowski and her husband Jeff, Claire Fahy and her husband Patrick, and Colette Dunn and her husband Tom. Dear brother of Sr. Maureen Columba, the late Michael, Sean, Dennis, Frank, and Helen. Cherished grandfather of Erin, Krystie, and Conor Zoch, Patrick, Kerry Anne and Jeffrey Rutkowski, Mairead and Tara Fahy, Thomas and Ryan Dunn and great grandfather of Finley Kathryn Ahrens. Patrick was a superintendent for the New York City Transit Authority. A Proud Army Veteran was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Johns Council #135 and the Bergen Irish Association.  Visiting Thursday  PM 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill at 10 AM. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
