Patrick J. O'Connor

Patrick Joseph O'Connor of Dumont, NJ born June 5, 1936 passed away on November 22, 2021.
He was born in the Bronx to the late Brigid (nee Curtin) and Patrick O'Connor. He was predeceased by his siblings James, John, and Mary Gaine. He was both an avid Yankee and Giants Fan.

Patrick was a proud 1954 graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School. After graduation he spent 30+ years working for the U.S. Postal Service at various locations in the Bronx and also worked part time at The New York Times as a Paper Handler. He finally decided it was time to retire after he was almost mugged one day on the way to his car after work. He had already moved to Dumont, N.J. with his family and was quite happy there for the remainder of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia A. (nee Taylor) of 49 years and their three sons: Michael and his wife Teri and their children Alyssa (18) and Liam (10), Brian, and Patrick and his wife Dawn and their children Amber (15) and Brendan (12).

Visiting Wednesday November 24th 2-5 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at Sacred Heart Church 102 Park St. Haworth, on Friday at 10:45 AM for the Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Cremation private.
