Richard J. Reilly, 82, of New Milford passed away on February 16, 2016. Born in New York, NY he was a retired Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service in Bergenfield. A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, he was a former member of Elks Lodge #2304 in Closter and a former member of the Rockleigh Volunteer Fire Department. Predeceased by his wife Doris M. Reilly, parents, Dorothy and William Reilly, daughter Gail Portier and her spouse Douglas, sons Richard and Michael Reilly and brother William Reilly. Beloved father of Patricia Kraft and her spouse Martin, Kathleen Reilly and her spouse Victoria Harris, Thomas Reilly and his spouse Sue, David Reilly and Barbara Governali and father-in-law of Amy Reilly. Dear brother of Patricia McGloin. Loving grandfather of Richard III, Shannon, Robert, Danielle, Farin, Anthony, Brianna and Celina and great grandfather of Bennett, Lucas and Cecilia. Visiting on Friday from 4-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 8:30 AM for the Funeral Mass at Church of the Ascension, New Milford, at 9:30 AM.
