Mr. Bothe was an excellent teacher who combined wit and wisdom to get his message across. I have fond memories of being a student in his 8th grade English class (1984/85). I won a statewide fiction story writing contest while in his class and have since gone on to become a professional TV and feature film writer. I would be remiss if I didn't attribute some of my writing success to Mr. Bothe and what I learned in his class. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Adam "Tex" Davis.

My deepest sympathies to Bob's family. I remember "Mr. Bothe" as a teacher at RWB Middle school, and later on we became colleagues when I began working at the BHS Library. I worked with Bob at the middle school many days in the library. His loss will be greatly felt by those of us fortunate enough to get to know him. May he find his peace.

My sincere condolences to your family. Mr. Bothe was my English teacher in I guess 1977 at Roy Brown, and I will always remember him as an educator who cared about his students, and more specifically cared about me. I was definitely a difficult student, but Mr. Bothe made a huge difference in my life through his kindness, patience, compassion, and creativity as an educator. He was a force for good in a world which is too often just apathetic.
