Robert L. Fallon

Robert L. Fallon, 67 of Bergenfield, passed away on May 4th, 2017. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Predeceased by his parents, Herman Fallon and Kathleen Roach Fallon and a brother, Bruce Fallon, Bob is survived by his wife, Jane E. Fallon (nee Rube), sister and brother in law Eileen and Adrian Vega, sister, Nancy Moore and sister and brother in law, Lori and Thomas Kelly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and sister in law, Clare P. Kaberle. Proud parent to a four legged rescue dog, Magnolia. Bob was drafted into the Army in 1969 and served 18 months in Vietnam. After the service and overcoming severe health issues, Bob became a friend of Bill W. and focused on helping others to overcome their addiction problems. He started working at First Step Detox while enrolling in college part time. He attended Bergen Community College, Essex County College, Ramapo College and Fordham University. He received his Masters in Social Work and became a licensed clinical social worker and alcohol and drug counselor. He had many counselor jobs and eventually had his own private practice. His last job was at High Focus in Paramus, New Jersey. Bob also worked with Dr. Bryan Granelli doing individual and group therapy for almost 20 years. Bob enjoyed talking with his friends, watching classic movies with his wife and many trips to Cancun. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, New Jersey on Saturday 2-6 PM with a funeral service at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors or Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
