Susan Thomas

Susan Thomas, known as Susamma, was born on May 20, 1950, to K.G. Thomas and Chinnamma Thomas, at their family home, Puthen Veetil, in Kadampanad, Adoor. She was one of seven children, growing up alongside her siblings Thomas Alexander, James Thomas and Roy Thomas and predeceased by George Thomas, Samuel Thomas and Molly Mathew.

In 1971, Susamma married K.G. Thomas, also known as Babu, and together they began a new chapter of their lives. The couple immigrated from India to Texas, USA, where they built their home and welcomed their children into the world. They later moved to New Jersey, where they became founding members of St. Stephen's Church — a community Susamma remained deeply devoted to throughout her life.

Susamma had a true love for cooking, and she took great joy in preparing meals for her family and friends. She and Babu also shared a passion for travel, and together they explored the world, creating memories for years to come.

Susamma was a devoted mother to her son, the late Edwin Thomas, and her daughter, Emily Thakur and her husband Nikhil. She found deep joy in her grandsons, Nathan and Matthew, who brought light and laughter into her days.

Those who knew Susamma will remember her warmth, her steadfast faith, and the comfort of her presence. She lived a life rich with family, faith and love and she leaves behind a legacy carried on by all who knew and loved her.

Susamma will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
