Timoteo S. Viray

Timoteo S. “Tim” Viray, 90 years old, surrounded by his beloved family, passed away peacefully at 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ. He is survived by his loving children Felixberto, Zenaida, Edelmira, Elvira, Emelita, Elisa, Jesus and Timoteo JR. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Tim lived a happy and fulfilled life. He loved his work and gave his best in everything that he did. Despite his achievements in his career as a teacher, coordinator, principal, and employee of several companies in the US, he remained humble. He once said, “I just gave my best and GOD did the rest.”

He was a man of integrity, genuine love and compassion for his family and strangers alike, especially the needy. His love and fear of God; and his unwavering faith in Him, was his guide in everything that he did. He believed that every day, we should always be prepared to face our Creator. He was never a fault finder but always desired to see and bring out the best in a person. He is a man anyone would hope to befriend.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 22, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Monday June 24, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ 07621. A funeral mass will be celebrated in memory of Timoteo on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church, 29 N Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ 07621. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 425 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ 07631.
