Walter T. Mason

Walter T Mason, 88, of Norwood formerly of Bergenfield passed away on May 14, 2018. Born in Harlem, NY he was a Ret. Police Officer for the City of New York and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Devoted husband of the late Eileen Mason. Beloved father of Joan Behr and her husband Kerry, Walter Mason, Brian Mason and his wife Denise and Carol Steffens and her husband Franklin. Loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4-8 PM. All will meet at the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospitals.
