Walter H. Mischler

Walter H. Mischler 87 of Bergenfield passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 11th, 2021. Walter was a devoted, beloved husband to his wife Elaine for over 61 years. He was dedicated father to his son Jeffrey Mischler, daughter Lynn Ciccia and her husband Paul. He was a proud grandfather of his two grandchildren Paul Jr. and Allisa. Walter was born an only child in Brooklyn NY. He was in the United States Air Force and then had a career in publishing before taking an early retirement, which he enjoyed immensely. Walter lived an extremely active life, living life to the fullest with his loving wife Elaine. Walter enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and playing bocce, while spending winters in Florida. Walter has imprinted many memories of joy upon the lives of everyone who knew and loved him. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield will be on Thursday 1/14 between 4-8 PM. A funeral service will begin at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity or Church.
