Wilma Weglein

Wilma C. Weglein (nee Hennig), 85, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, passed away on September 19, 2023. Devoted wife of the late Arthur Weglein. Beloved step-mother of Arthur, Jr., Justin and Morgan Weglein and Mary Hogan. Sister-in-law of Edmund Leopold and Aunt of Melanie and Debra Leopold. Cherished daughter of the late Elenora and Charles Hennig. Dear sister of the late Elenora Leopold.

Wilma was a graduate of Bergenfield High School and Berkley Secretarial School in New York.  She worked for many years as the Executive Assistant for Jack Valenti of Motion Pictures of America. She moved to Florida in 1994 and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Barefoot Bay.  From 2008 through 2017 Wilma was on the Barefoot Bay Homeowners Association, serving in several roles, including President, First Vice President, and Treasurer. She was also an elected Barefoot Bay Recreation District Trustee for four years (2005 – 2008). In addition, Wilma was a member of Eastern Star Tilden Chapter #59 for fifty-four years.
