Audrey C. Alben
Audrey Catherine Alben died peacefully at her home on Christmas morning, December 25, 2020. She was 87. Born in Bergenfield, New Jersey, she graduated from Bergenfield High School. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Marco) Chiorazzo.
She had a long career in banking, communications, and manufacturing, having worked for local banks, Western Union in Englewood, Werner & Pfleiderer in Ramsey, and Centrico, Inc. in Northvale. After retirement, she worked part-time for Marron Gildea Realtors in Ridgewood.
Audrey was a lively and compassionate personality. She was devoted to her extended family and her friends, imparting love and understanding to each of them. She lived in many places in New Jersey but returned to Bergenfield in her later years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Alben, formerly an Englewood Police Department Lieutenant, her older brother, Joseph M. Chiorazzo, and niece, Sharon Chiorazzo. She is survived by one son, Vance E. (Denise) Willard, two stepsons, Stephen (Karen) Alben and Brian (Nili) Alben, and six grandchildren, Stephen J. Willard, Brett M. Willard, and Nicole, Matthew, Kim, and Brian Alben. She also is survived by two younger brothers, George G. Schira of New York City and Rudolph M. (Kathy) Chiorazzo of Delray Beach Florida, along with a niece, Cathy Chiorazzo, two nephews, John (Kim) Chiorazzo and Jason (Jill) Chiorazzo and four grandnieces, Nadia, Ava, Olivia, and Madeline Chiorazzo and one grandnephew, Drew Chiorazzo.
