We are here today to honor our beloved Courtney Maigh Eysser Hoehl. Court was a mother, daughter, wife, niece, cousin and best friend. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul and her laugh was contagious. If you were lucky enough to be nearby when she looked at her daughter Juliette’s face, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you.
Court was born on April 15, 1979. She made her grand entrance on Easter Sunday morning, of course, the first baby born that day. She was, and still is, beautiful – perfect face, gorgeous blue eyes and was as bald as a cucumber – yet still stunning. Our lives all changed for the better that Sunday morning with Courtney’s birth.
To say that Court was complicated is an understatement, but the one thing that NEVER changed or waivered was her unconditional love for her Juliette. JK was her world. For an only child raising an only child, Court made sure that Juliette was not spoiled or entitled. Court was never selfish, and she passed that trait onto JK. She would give you the shirt off her back unless it was a designer shirt, only kidding. She did enjoy her designer items but would also give top of the line gifts to others. She would open her heart and her home in an instant for she loved company. But be forewarned, this cherub had her devil side too. If you ever had the misfortune to say something negative to or about JK you faced her wrath. It could be scary.
She was loving, courageous, tenacious, strong, family oriented, fun loving and beautiful. Anyone who has been with her can attest to that. She had a radiance, a light, that never ceased to shine. Tragically, all too soon, that light was extinguished. In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 7, 2021, Court’s body rebelled against her and we lost our beloved Court. She fought tremendously but the disease was way too powerful. There will NEVER be another Courtney. NO ONE could ever take her place. There is a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
While we will deeply mourn and miss our Courtney, please keep in mind her beloved daughter JK. The birthdays, holidays, family parties & events and even her wedding day there will be a huge void where her mom should be. Mourn for Juliette, love her, comfort her, keep her near and reinforce how much her mother loved her. We will never take Court’s place, however, but we will try to stand in for her.
Courtney for as long as we are alive, your memory will live on in our hearts and lives forever. Love you, see you, miss you eternally. God bless and Rest in Peace.
